Jamie Johnson is a registered mental health counselor intern. She earned a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling and a
Bachelors Degree in Psychology, with a focus in Christian Counseling, from Liberty University. Jamie is a highly trained
clinician who specializes in treating many different types of symptoms and diagnoses. She is a certified clinical trauma
specialist and is trained and certified in accelerated resolution therapy (ART), an evidenced-based therapy shown to
effectively treat trauma and related disorders such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Jamie is passionate about helping her clients overcome difficulties, heal from past pain and trauma, function well both emotionally and psychologically, and become all that God desires them to be. She helps clients accomplish this by utilizing research-based therapeutic treatment,
suited to fit the specific needs of each of her clients. Jamie also integrates Biblical truth into therapy with clients who request to do so. She believes that through genuine support and a trusting relationship, she can help her clients find hope and accomplish their goals.
Jamie is also passionate about working with couples. She provides premarital, marital and relationship counseling. She desires to help couples heal, restore, and thrive in their relationship.
Jamie’s passion for treating clients suffering from traumatic stress and anxiety stems from her own healing and victory. She has personally faced difficult life circumstances that make it easy for her to relate to and understand the pain of her clients. Because of her own personal experiences, Jamie is able to offer hope and motivation, two things every individual needs to experience change.
Jamie works with adolescents, couples, and individuals, dealing with: anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, self-
harming, suicidal ideation, ADHD, co-dependency, relational difficulty, eating disorders, anger, identity/self-image
issues, parenting issues, marital issues, spiritual and Biblical guidance needs, career concerns, family conflict, and other
